Why should I have an impacted tooth removed? What's wrong with them? |
|
 |
Due to the use of a modern, refined diet, human teeth do not wear down much. Without wear and resultant size reduction, there is usually not room enough for 32 teeth in the mouth. So, the 3 rd molars or wisdom teeth become blocked out (impacted). They are removed to prevent trouble or sometimes to cure it. The typical trouble is infection caused by partial submergence of the tooth.Submitted by Dr. DiStefano |
